The electric lamp invented by Thomas Alva Edison and the opening of the first electric grid in 1892. changed the energy consumption to unrecognizable. The rapid triumph of electricity, new discoveries and inventions followed. For example, a transformer invented by Nikola Tesla can produce an electric current with a voltage of up to 500,000 volts.<\/p>\n

Although electricity’s primary purpose is to power a variety of devices, it can do other tricks. For example, electricity produces sounds at different pitches, the pitches of which can be directed. Inventors have come up with an organ-like piano connected to a Tesla transformer.
