Are you ready to step into the spotlight where historical inventions and the world of filmmaking of the future meet? This summer, we’re turning the PROTO Invention Factory into a giant creativity lab where your child will become the lead actor, composer, and director all in one!
PROTO’s summer adventure is a journey into a world where music, theater, and cinema are not just entertainment, but exciting science and pure creative joy. Together, we will explore how sound is created, what makes an image come to life on the screen, and how light plays tricks on us.
What do we do at camp?
Every day is full of discovery, building, and experimentation. We don’t just watch, we create! We develop technical thinking, bold self-expression, and learn how the real world works around us.
We invent and build: each child makes exciting devices and instruments that they can take home.
We test the limits: we explore sound vibrations, light reflections, and illusions of movement.
We’re venturing outside the center: in addition to exciting workshops at PROTO, we’re heading on exciting field trips to see how what we’ve learned can be applied in real life.
PROTO summer camp is not just a place to spend time. It is a summer event where the creators of the future are born. There are no boring lectures here, but hands-on fun that will make your eyes sparkle and spark a lifelong interest in science and art.

Our creative workshops:
🎵 The world of sounds and instrument making
Let’s explore how sound is produced and what makes the air vibrate.
We are building a whole orchestra:
- Hand drums and drum kits – we explore rhythm and how the material changes the sound.
- Rainpipes and pan flutes – we learn why a long pipe makes a low sound and a short one makes a high sound.
- Homemade harmonicas and guitars – we will experiment with how string tension and air movement create a pure melody.
🎬 The magic of cinema and movement
How is a film made? We build our own cinema camera, which makes still images come to life. We experiment with frame rate and speed to understand how the eye and brain work together to create cinema.
✨ Holograms and light tricks
This is pure illusion! Let’s study the reflection of light and create holograms, which create a spatial image. We will learn why we see things that are not really there.
